Labeling People as False Prophets
When I look at other religions, I do not see the finger pointing and accusations as much as I do
In the body of Christ. This really grieves me. How hell must howl with glee. I can only imagine the grief of the Father. I personally know the great pain of this accusations. First thing is I always ask the Father is any of these things true. Then I turn to the authorities who cover me in ministry and ask for their examination of my life and my work.
Imagine the trauma and wounds inflicted on someone. Also the younger Christians among become confused and it is almost like now people are forced to take sides. Even those who walk with the Lord for many year and in ministry have to pause and weigh these things purported. At these times I am not in the limelight to have to deal with this. I pray wisdom and redemption for those who have to address this issue.
Sunday I took the rest of the day going deep into the WORD, I studied at length sixteen scriptures in the OT and the NT and the situations around this. One thing is false prophets know what they are doing. Setting a course to gain self-promotion and greed. A true prophet may be off a bit on some issues but that does not make him/her a false prophet.
Correction is what is the job of the elder leaders and authorities not your peers. Also If you do not hold the office of the prophet it is not your place to call this out. It is the job of the prophet’s covering or those who have the mantle as the senior prophet. Elijah to Elisha is a good example to me. First it is to be done in private. Then you take the elders of this prophet with you.
After a day or two I went to see how this was being handled by the one who was being accused. I loved that I saw only love coming through. There was no public mention of any of this; also the speaker that weekend was definitely a man of elder statemen position and respected for his fruit worldwide.
No mentioning of names he talk from the Word and affirmed this accused prophet of his status. He called him a son. I was comforted to see how this was all handled redemptively for the accused with ne finger pointing or going tit for tat.
Are there false prophets among us. Oh my yes!!!! Let us pray as we are warned that even the very elect would be drawn away. If we stay in HIS WORD, submit humbly to tried and true authority, and walk in love the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD can keep us to that which we committed to HIM and HIS kingdom. Shalom!
