2020: American Presidential Election and Aftermath

The American presidential election: an event held every four years. It is an important event for us as we pick the person who will guide us for the next four years. This year is special however and is far more important than previous elections. According to the prophets this election will determine the course of the next 20 or so years. If we choose God’s policies, and we are voting on His policies, not personalities than we steer the nation towards redemption. If we do not, or we choose personalities over policies then we head for damnation instead.

I’m not here to tell you who you should vote for this election or who is the right candidate, especially as this will come out after the election. I know who I believe to be the right choice and as of writing this word I have already voted. What I am telling you is the stakes; we are in an Isaiah moment where we either redeem or doom our nation. Know that I am not afraid, whatever comes for I believe the Lord will protect His people if they align with His will.

The time leading up to the election is perhaps the first time I have ever been aware of a kingdom battle, a war, fought for this nation. For those who do not know my faith has always been that I believe God exists and I had welcomed him into my heart but have done little more than that for most of my life. Having more radical faith in him and working to become the best servant I can be is a relatively new thing to me. I say this because I am sure there have been many wars in the heavenlies, but I have not been a part of them, and this is the first time. I believe, as does my mother Hannah that the battle had been decided and won the day before the election even happened.

This one I was active in and I am exhausted. The rest of today, the election day I intended to rest and prepare for what comes next, but God gave me strength and a word. Our part in the election is over; our part in what comes next is now beginning. As I said I believe the battle has been won and God’s policies will take hold in our nation again. With that victory comes another set of battles; what mom has taken to calling the Aftermath.

All through this year the enemy has opposed God’s will, attempted to shut down and destroy his people. Nothing new there of course but this year has been more intense and overt in their attempts to do so because God has been preparing a greater comeback than I have ever known. When this happens the amount of land taken, souls saved will be so immense that we cannot even fathom it and will be recorded in heaven as one of the greatest victories of all time!

That is why this year has been so intense; the enemy does NOT want to see this come to pass and he is ramping up his ploys to stop this victory. He is using the strongholds of this nation to try and destroy any opposition to his will by those who would do His will. The media, both news and social, the medical field via Covid, abortion clinics who murder the future and even those who are meant to be fighting against injustice in his efforts to destroy us.

This where the Aftermath comes in; with God’s victory in the election the enemy will increase further his attempts to stop Him. We will likely see renewed violence, more lies spread via the media and even legalistic attempts to halt God’s plan. All of this sounds a bit doom and gloom doesn’t it? Well let me turn the tables a bit and tell you that there is hope. We will have to be vigilant and active, but hope abounds for our God is a god of hope!

The enemy will ramp up his plans, but God will not sit idly by; He will push back. As people gather to commit violence per Satan’s plans there will be those who will go out with the love of God in their hearts and push back. As the media spreads more lies and the legalistic try to use everything in their power to halt what God has set in motion there will arise those whose voices will ring with truth. Truth will push back at the lies and legalism.

It will likely be grueling and a campaign that lasts for months but take heart. God will not allow what He has set into motion to die and when it is over, for eventually it will be over, the future will be bright. Through Him and for Him we will have secured a better future for decades for our nation. Revival, truth, and His word will become part of government and laws once again. And it gets even better! It won’t stop here. From here it will spread to other nations across the globe and we will see God’s kingdom on the Earth through the nations. Mind you this is not the 1000 year kingdom, as awesome as that would be but this is going to be a physical manifestation of His kingdom that, for a time, is going to make our world a better place. For that to happen, we have to fight for it.
