I also felt led to look at this date in history concerning Kenya. Here is what I found.
On January 13, 1960, the British government officially lifted the state of emergency in Kenya that had been in place since the beginning of the Mau Mau rebellion in 1952.
This date marked a crucial turning point in Kenya's path toward independence:
The state of emergency had lasted for over seven years. - seven is number of presenting divine perfection, completion, and wholeness.
Its lifting eased restrictions on African political activity and allowed nationalist leaders to step up their agitation for self-governance and full independence.
Following this, Jomo Kenyatta was released from prison in August 1961, and Kenya achieved full independence on December 12, 1963, with Kenyatta as its first Prime Minister.
The event is a key date in the decolonization of Kenya and the broader African liberation movement.
