His Revelation

Let me preface this blog with a warning. Beware reading beyond this point may melt your brain, turn your world upside down, and search the Word for the truth. Side effects may be: uncontrollable weeping, running around screaming, etc.

All joking aside, this was a tough blog to write. For many, many, MANY years I have believed in a Pre-Tribulation rapture event. This comforting notion of being taken away from all the pain, discomfort, fear that is to come in the judgment of a righteous God. I am not in that ball park anymore. Reading the book of Revelation, due to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I had no questions to search for or answer but to follow God’s leading. As I got deeper into the book, I felt a little whisper say, “Where is the ‘Rapture’?” (Cue brain melting screams as my nice little world comes crumbling down)

This blog is not an argument for or against any stage of a ‘rapture’ event. This is, merely, a statement of one view and a plea for you to seek your own answers and come to your own conclusions. Do not swallow what the Church says (like I have) without asking God if its true. Seek God first for the revelation and knowledge that you need.

Here is just a thought for you to chew on: if there is a possibility of a no “Pre-Tribulation” rapture and we are going to experience some of the difficulties of the coming judgment, how are you preparing yourself? I, personally, would rather prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised to be with God before the crap hits the fan.

The below Psalm comes from a feeling that if I am going to be here for some/all of the Tribulation that I do not want to fall away from God, sifted as chaff, deny my God, and/or lose my faith. I want to instead be able to perservere through the troubles, keeping my eyes on Him, and standing on the truth that He will keep me from the worst of the judgments (like the Israelites and the plagues of Egypt). Wherever you stand on the arguement, have you sought God for His stance?

When Revelation turns the world upside down.

I will find the joy

Having read the final pages.

Though my suffering increases through tribulation

Your praise will never leave my tongue.

Because I will join the saints.

Let me not turn coward and be cast down.

I must stand on the truth

Because I have heard your voice.

Your Word reveals.

The wheels turn

My head spins.

I breathe with a different urgency.

I worship with a different hunger.

I sing with a different heart.

I seek not to be removed

I seek to be found useful.

I care not what the world sees

I care that you see my heart.

You who topple governments

Does the same to my strongholds.

As the dust settles

From it forms my new body.

Care for me and hold me close.

If I have been found faithful

Keep me until He comes again.

Praise be to God

Who wrote the story

Before time began!

Thanks Tyler! I don't really know what I am sure about - but one thing I know, God has been been whispering to my heart for the past few years - "Prepare, prepare, prepare." In our culture today we are looking for easy Christianity, but I feel we will be in for a surprise.

Amen. That is what was so shocking to me. My mindset has to change to prepare myself for His use in the future! We must continue to ask Him to lead us to the revelations that we need!
