I was running on the treadmill and listening to some preaching by Chuck Pierce. He had some good word for me in my present condition and situation. Then I felt like God was telling me about the need to write about women and the importance they are going to be in the days ahead.
This idea doesn’t mean feminism or preference but a stressed importance of every person and their place in God’s plan. Women are amazing. They give birth, nuture and encourage their children (physical and spiritual) and others. They have an inate strength that they can tap into that surpasses anything physical. Without women, there would be no line of David. Prostitues, widows and mothers all play an important role throughout the Bible. God calls all kinds and uses all kinds.
This psalm is a call for the women of God to rise up! Do not think you have to stay in the situation you are in! Being a mother of young children does not disqualify you from serving God or growing close to Him. Climb up the mountain, strive for the summit, find your voice and soak in the Presence. You are going to be needed in the time to come and the Body of Christ is going to need your strength. Fathers, sons, husbands, parents and everyone else is going to need you. You are important to all of us. You are important to Him.
Hear the call of the mountain, Zion.
Daughters you must run and climb.
It’s the Voice that calls you upward.
Come all.
The confused, abused, rejected and unloved
Clamber up the slopes to the Call.
It’s your desperation that drives you onward.
Every last one.
The whisper speaks Love to your soul.
The wind is carrying promises given to you.
Let your need push you forward.
Leave no one.
Daughter when you can’t climb anymore
And you fall upon the rock.
Recognize that the Rock is holding you up!
You are needed!
His love will sustain you on cliffs.
The wind doesn’t buffet but caresses you.
Warm yourself by your personal burning bush.
You are loved!
The still small voice tells you of His plan.
The flames ignite your soul.
His Presence commissions you!
Lead them all!
Daughters! Rise up!
Yell it from the summit of Zion!
You are new, so shed your grave clothes!
Conquer the world!
Descend to your inheritance.
You are a victorious queen!
Pride of the Kingdom!
