The Scepter and the Rod

We must embrace we are not local living in a bubble but in a global community. Digital age and technology has shattered our ability to ignore things happening on the “other side of the world.” Missionaries often run into the wall of blank looks and inability to relate when sharing the plight of the people and people groups not in our own borders. How interesting that these people groups are now invading our borders or flying their spy balloons over our land.

Using the word “woke” has such a negative connotation but am so glad for the mercy of GOD and HIS kindness. Events are happening many times a day that are to alert us and engage us to take our place on the wall or on the front lines. Do not fear for HIS has formed you. HE saw the time in history, the country, and the family in which you were places on the earth. The GOD who is meticulous in every detail made no error nor did you slip through the cracks. Just look at nature in a storm, at a sunrise, the stars, or the animal kingdom and you will sit in awe for hours.

The scepter has its origin in the shepherd’s rod. Kings in the east ,where many were pastural, had a scepter but was also known as the rod. He/she was a shepherd of his people. Signified protection, power, and authority and sovereignty. Affording his people freedom, independence, and liberty. Held out for comfort and for correction. We snicker in derision because sadly this is not the case with many monarchies. We have strayed so far from HIS intent.

Psalms 23, here in the USA, is used in many funerals; however, it is desperately needed in this season to stand up and walk circumspectly before the LORD. It is in the same verse with though I walk through the valley of shadow of death that rod and staff is comfort. Presently my family and I are walking my mother through Hospice. I can say HIS hand of mercy and kindness have held out this rod/scepter.

Many involved in witchcraft use lightning. They stole that from the Creator GOD. We have authority over the elements. In Revelations it talks about the throne room, altars, and angelic activity. Lightning is involved. Let us take back that element with authority.

January 1,2022 in Kilgoris, Kenya I released a word that the LORD would hold out HIS iron rod this year. It was an election year. Just this past weekend as I was praying at the midnight watch which is for leaders, altars and blood covenant I was declaring Psalms 23. I saw President Ruto, of Kenya, holding out this rod/scepter. It became like a lightning rod. Attracting the lightning. He was struggling to hold it steady- not sure if because of weight or heat.

Growing up I remember lightning rods being on top of houses and barns to attract and absorb lightning in a storm to prevent fire. Especially farmers who had their crops and livestock in barns. My dad was raised on a large farm. Even though we lived in town because he was businessman he would get up in a storm and dress because that was the habit in case, they had to rescue animals from a fire caused by lightning.

My prayer is President Ruto will wield a righteous rod and scepter for the land of Kenya. His wife is a praying woman. I remember the prophetic acts and prayers at his inauguration and I pray these back to GOD. Take courage in HIS words not what you see.
